Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026 (v1.1)
Token Radar (“the extension”, “we”) is a browser extension that shows public information about crypto tokens for the page you are viewing or the tokens you search. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what the extension accesses and how it is handled.
What the extension accesses
- Current page content (on scan): When you tap “scan”, the extension reads the visible text and title of the active tab to detect a possible token name. This happens entirely in your browser. The page content is never stored or transmitted — only the detected name is used as a search term.
- Your searches: The token name you search (or the name detected from a page) is sent to the public CoinGecko API to retrieve token data (price, market cap, contract address, etc.).
- License key (Pro only): If you activate a Pro license, your license key is sent to our licence server (hosted on Cloudflare) to verify your purchase.
What we store
- The extension stores your license key and activation status locally on your device (the browser’s local storage).
- We do not run any servers of our own and do not store any of your data remotely.
What we do NOT do
- ✓ We do not collect personal information (name, email, wallet address, etc.).
- ✓ We do not track your browsing history.
- ✓ We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
- Risk check: For a token you look up, its public contract address is sent to GoPlus (
api.gopluslabs.io) and DexScreener to read public security and market data. - Deployer and launch check: For a token you look up, its public contract address is also sent to Blockscout (to see who deployed it and what else that wallet deployed) and to GeckoTerminal (to read the first public trades of a brand-new pool). These are public blockchain data.
- Risk dots (optional, off by default): If you turn this on in the extension settings, public contract addresses (0x...) found in the text of pages you visit are looked up the same way, to show a colour next to them. Only the address is sent. Page text is not stored or sent anywhere else.
- Official contract check (part of risk dots, on x.com only): The account name in the page address (for example the name in x.com/name) is used to look up that project official contract on CoinGecko, so a different contract on that page can be flagged as possibly fake.
- Caller track record (optional, off by default, x.com only): If you turn this on, Token Radar remembers, on this device only, which public X account name posted which contract address in the tweets you view, together with the token price when you first saw it. Later it compares that with the current public price to show how that account earlier calls are doing. This history is never sent to us or anyone else, and you can clear it in Settings. Only the contract address is sent to DexScreener to read its public price.
- Watchlist and price alerts: The tokens you watch and your alert prices are saved only in your browser's local storage. A background task checks their public prices and risk signals (liquidity, owner rights, taxes) every few minutes and shows a notification when an alert is reached.
- ✓ We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
- ✓ We never access your crypto wallet or your funds. Trading happens on third-party sites (e.g. Uniswap) using your own wallet.
Third-party services
When you use the extension, limited data is sent to:
- Blockscout (
*.blockscout.com) and GeckoTerminal (api.geckoterminal.com) — to read public deployer history and launch trades. - GoPlus (
api.gopluslabs.io) — to read public token security data. - CoinGecko (
api.coingecko.com) — to fetch public token data, using your search term. - Token Radar licence server (Cloudflare Workers) — to verify your Pro license key.
- Razorpay (on our website only, never inside the extension) — to process your payment. We do not see or store your card or UPI details.
These services have their own privacy policies, which govern the data sent to them.
Permissions
- Read data on the websites you visit: used only to read the current page’s text to detect a token. It is not stored or transmitted.
- Storage: used only to save your license locally.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
